Dan Bern
Dan Bern is a highly talented and prolific singer-songwriter who has been compared to the likes of Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. His songs have been featured in major motion pictures and television. After 25 releases over his long career, he has gained a loyal following. Dan is also a painter, author, and poet with an arsenal of creative goods to offer the world.
In 2018, Dan lost two fingertips in a snowblower accident. Unable to play guitar, his main writing instrument, he turned to the piano. Subsequently, the mishap was transformed into the inspiring Regent Street LP. Ganyoon Graphics was enlisted to combine stunning photography by Quan Diep and Dan’s painted letters into a CD package. Hand kerning, color correction, and retouching were implemented to achieve the cohesive look. Additional typography was needed for the credits. A classic typewriter typeface was chosen since it has an inherent Americana look and conveys the literary qualities of the lyrical content.
Regent Street was lauded as one of Dan’s best efforts to date. To support the album, tours of the United States and Canada followed. Ganyoon Graphics provided support in this effort with beautifully crafted one-sheets, social media graphics, and even a special golden ticket to engage fans.
